GM Korea is discontinuing production of once best-selling model Chevrolet Spark compact hatchback from October next year amid plunging sales at home and abroad. Domestic sales of Spark more than halved to 28,935 units last year from 58,978 units in 2015, and exports also shriveled more than 60 percent to 58,474 units from 150,643 units during the period. Up to May this year, only 9,053 units were sold in Korea.
