KB Insurance Co. has launched KB 3.10.10 Wise Simple Health Insurance Plus, which is designed for people with relatively mild illnesses, the company said on Tuesday.

The product is designed for those who have been diagnosed with chronic diseases such as hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and diabetes, but whose symptoms are mild and are being managed with medication or treatment.

KB Insurance added a pre-contract disclosure question about hospitalization, surgery, and three major diseases (cancer, myocardial infarction, and stroke) within 10 years to the existing pre-contract disclosure obligation of simple health insurance.

Those that pass the questionnaire can be classified as patients with ultra-mild pre-existing conditions and enroll at a 14 percent lower premium than the existing simple health insurance.

The product offers a total of 200 different benefits, including in-demand coverage such as per diem for caregiver hospitalization, per diem for single-room occupancy, influenza treatment, and surgery for illness, as well as diagnosis, hospitalization, and surgery for the three major diseases of cancer, cerebrovascular, and heart.

Customers can tailor their coverage according to their needs.

The enrollment age ranges from 15 to 90 years old, with automatic renewal available every 10, 15, 20, or 30 years.

Coverage is also possible up to the age of 110, or with maturity at 90, 95, or 100 years old. A no-surrender product offers lower premiums.
