Naver Pay, an online payment service of South Korean tech giant Naver Corp., signed a strategic business agreement with U.S. music magazine Billboard on Tuesday, aimed at boosting synergy in fintech and entertainment services.

According to Naver Pay on Wednesday, the agreement was signed between the company and Billboard headquarters and Billboard Korea at Naver1784 building in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province.

Under the agreement, Naver Pay will initiate various collaborative projects that connect its simple payment solutions with entertainment services to be provided by Billboard Korea.

The fintech firm will also facilitate Billboard Korea‘s successful entry into the local market, scheduled for June, by offering reliable and simple payment services for music, broadcasting, and live performances.

The collaboration ultimately aims to support global proliferation of K-pop culture through the Billboard platform.
