Korean Air Lines for the first time in history have simultaneously settled collective bargaining with unions representing general employees and pilots for this year.

The management separately held bargaining with the general union and pilot union Friday and reached agreement on the raise of 10 percent in annual salaries.

Pilot union agreed to wage freeze for 2020 and 2021, following the general union which had already complied with wage freeze last year.

The management has offered to increase wages this year as the flag carrier was able to post record earnings last year based on boom in cargo deliveries.
