Nawah Energy Company, a joint reactor subsidiary of Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) and Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC) on Friday, local time, received a go-ahead from the Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation for the commercial operation of the 3rd unit of Barakah Nuclear Power Plant. In Dec. 2009, KEPCO won a contract to build four APR-1400 nuclear reactors in Barakah near Abu Dhabi, marking Korea¡¯s first nuclear export.
