S. Korea to begin Covid-19 vaccination for children under 12 on March 31

South Korea will start Covid-19 vaccination for children aged between 5 and 11 on March 31, according to the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency on Monday, as the number of daily infection cases continue to exceed 300,000 amid widespread of omicron variant, and children under 12 make up more than 15% of coronavirus patients. The country has begun Covid-19 booster shot for teens aged between 12 to 17 on Monday. Korea¡¯s 86.6% population are fully vaccinated as of Monday, with 62.6% completing booster shot.
