Tech startup FiscalNote CEO Tim Hwang, serial entrepreneur Peter Diamandis, and futurologist Jason Schenker are among the invites who will take the stage at the upcoming startup extravaganza “Try Everything” on Sept. 15-17.

As founder of more than 20 companies in the fields of space, venture capital, and education and chairman of XPrize Foundation, Silicon Valley godfather Peter Diamandis will offer his insights on the future of global business and survival strategies in the era of technology convergence in a session titled “Technologies Changing the Future” on Sept. 16.

Tim Hwang, CEO of civic tech startup FiscalNote that uses artificial intelligence and big data to deliver timely and relevant policy information for users, will give tips on how to expand into global markets and bring success for Korean and ASEAN startups during K-ASEAN Scale-Up Contest. Hwang was profiled in Forbes 30 Under 30 list in 2016 and CNN’s Top 10 Startups in 2014.

Jason Schenker, the world’s renowned futurologist and chairman of The Futurist Institute, will join as a keynote speaker for the opening ceremony of this year’s startup convention to give an address on the theme of “Innovation and Future of Startups.” Stephan Trojansky, CEO of Germany-based global visual effects company Scanline VFX behind many Marvel Studios movies, will also take the podium to share his experience in building a company that started as a startup and became a global success.

Try Everything will also feature a number of global mega venture capitalists for “Talk with Global Top VCs” sessions. Among the invites are GGV Capital managing partner and the 9-time Forbes Midas Lister Hans Tung and Hemant Taneja, General Catalyst managing director and early investor of market-leading companies like Grammarly and Snap.

Held in tandem with the World Knowledge Forum at Shilla Hotel and National Theater of Korea in central Seoul, this year’s Try Everything will be joined by some 400 startups, venture capitals, accelerators and big companies. This is the second year for Asia’s biggest startup fair that will be co-hosted by Seoul Metropolitan Government and Maekyung Media Group.

The forum will serve as a matchmaker between startups and leading venture capital companies and accelerators through the one-on-one Meet Up sessions to be joined by local top venture capitals Shinhan Venture Investment, Hana Ventures and Mirae Asset Venture Investment. Startups seeking to learn scale-up strategies can also apply for Mentor Program at the Try Everything website.

Scaled up from last year, over 80 startup programs will be hosted throughout Seoul, all of which to be held free-of-charge to offer up-and-coming startups opportunities to build their business. Offline promotional and exhibition booths will not be installed due to the virus risk and all sessions will be live-streamed on YouTube.
