Tutorial education kit has gotten smarter in Korea with the help of artificial intelligence, drawing new demand in the home education field.

Woongjin Think Big, a listed Korean education service company, said on Friday its AI-based math education course has attracted more than five subscribers just in four months since its launch last February.

The course dubbed Woongjin Think Big AI Math was jointly developed with a Silicon Valley machine learning firm. It was highly anticipated from the start for the company¡¯s claim as the first AI-powered math curriculum for elementary students in the market. More than 20,000 persons signed up in the first month and about 10,000 are added every month, the company said.

The AI Math provides a personalized curriculum designed on user data such as student level, correct answer prediction, and time to solution.

Students often abandon mathematics at the elementary level, where they find it difficult to receive guided teaching, and AI can be used to prevent this and make more students feel fun about math, according to the company.

Last month Woongjin Think Big launched AI Reading Care designed to increase students¡¯ reading capability based on big data analytics and AI technology.
