Ssangyong Motor taking pre-orders for first facelift Tivoli in 4 yrs

South Korea¡¯s Ssangyong Motor Co. on Monday has revealed main specs and teaser images of the latest version of its Tivoli compact sport utility vehicle (SUV) and started taking pre-orders for the vehicle due in Korea on Jun. 4.

It is the first facelift model of the Tivoli, which cemented its position as the top-selling compact SUV in Korea since the launch in 2015.

The teaser suggested the new Tivoli nicknamed Very New Tivoli will come with an enhanced design and additional safety features with the new trim of a 1.5-liter gasoline turbo model, the first for the automaker.

It is fitted with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 9.0-inch central infotainment system, and sophisticated vehicle control technology Deep Control for safety and driving convenience.

The 427-liter boot space is another feat of the vehicle, which is one of the largest in the segment.

Ssangyong Motor set the prices of the new Tivoli between 16.68 million won ($13,985) for the cheapest model and 24.05 million won for the highest trim of the gasoline model. The diesel model is expected to be available at between 20.45 million won and 25.85 million won.

Those who make pre-orders will be offered a limited-edition T-shirt, a 100,000 won deposit, and a price guarantee extension after the end of the government break benefits, the automaker said.
