Hyundai Motor has launched The New Ioniq Electric that can run up to 271 kilometers (168 miles) per charge, 35.5 percent longer than its predecessor.

The Korean carmaker premiered the upgraded pure electric version during EV Trend Korea 2019 held at COEX, Seoul on Wednesday.

The new model rounds up the company¡¯s Ioniq eco-friendly lineup. Upgraded hybrid and plug-in versions were released last January.

The New Ioniq Electric has a 38.3kWh lithium-ion battery pack which provides a max range of 271km on a single charge, ideal for urban driving and commuting.

Powering the new vehicle is a 100kW electric motor which produces 10 percent more power than the previous model.

All trims of The New Ioniq Electric are equipped with a 10.25-inch wide navigation as a default to support an over-the-air wireless update while driving. Safety performance was also improved with an array of default features such as forward collision avoidance assist, forward collision warning, driver attention warning, lane departure warning, and lane keep assist.

The car¡¯s newly designed triple mode virtual cluster along with the touch-type air conditional button adds a high-tech look to its interior. A new floating-type radiator grille and a stylish lamp signature highlight the car¡¯s future-oriented image. The new LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL) and the wheel air curtain add an extra touch of finesse to the model.

The New Ioniq Electric is retailed at 41,400,000 won ($35,500) for the N Trim and 44,400,000 won for the Q Trim.
