Suzy, a South Korean singer and actress who was a member of now-disbanded K-pop girl group Miss A under JYP Entertainment, topped dream date choice for Korean boys to spend the White Day, East Asia’s alternate Valentine’s Day.
In a survey by local online education service Seven Edu, 214 out of 450 teenagers (46.5 percent) answered they want to gift candies to Suzy on March 14 White Day. Actress Jo Bo-ah came second with 22.2 percent, followed by solo artist IU (9.1 percent), Red Velvet’s Irene (5.2 percent), and Twice’s Sana (4.3 percent).
White Day is a kind of second Valentine’s Day that works different in East Asia. Men give candies or other gifts to women they love on Mar. 14 in return for chocolate gifts they received a month ago on Feb. 14.
