“Squid Game,” South Korea’s survival contest thriller and most watched show on Netflix, has earned 3 nominations at the 79th annual Golden Globe Awards. The U.S. Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) on Monday (local time) nominated the drama for Best Drama Series, actor Lee Jung-jae for Best Television Actor, and O Yeong-su for Best Supporting Actor – Television. Squid Game will compete with other drama series “Lupin,” “The Morning Show,” “Pose,” and “Succession.” The winners will be announced at Golden Globe Awards on Jan. 9. Squid Game recently won prizes at People’s Choice Awards and Gotham Awards.
