Korea¡¯s Indie Craft Festival 2020 Wednesday kicked off its five-day run, a fully virtual gaming industry conference designed to give game development professionals a fun and immersive experience with the latest in gaming scene without having to venture out.

The annual event first held in 2017 is hosted by Seongnam City and organized by Seongnam Industry Promotion Agency and Korea Mobile Game Association.

This year¡¯s event features the largest fleet of private sponsors including Nexon, NCSoft, Netmarble, Com2uS, Naver Cloud Platform, Xbox, Unity, One Store, Megazone Cloud, and Xsolla.

The organizers decided to conduct a fully virtual gaming industry event for this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Visitors can interact and meet with representatives from 60 exhibitors at their virtual booths, which include 40 Korean games, 10 overseas games and 10 winning games chosen in the previous events.

Visitors to Indie Craft can create and control their own characters to tour the venues installed in the virtual space. The virtual venue consists of six worlds: Best Game Zone, Community Zone, Global Zone, PC Game Zone, and Mobile Game Zone I and II.

Visitors can meet this year¡¯s top game candidates in Best Game Zone, 2017-2019 winners in Community Zone, and overseas games in Global Game Zone.

Gamers can also chat with game developers and publishers, while exploring the rides and races, all from the comfort of their own home or office.
