À̹ÌÁö È®´ë The 2019 Kartrider League Season 2, this year¡¯s championship tournament for Korea¡¯s iconic race game Crazyracing Kartrider published by Nexon Co., has concluded Saturday with winners of Lee Jae-hyeok in the singles and SANDBOX Gaming in the team.
Lee Jae-hyeok from Rox Raptors has become this year¡¯s singles champion after beating Park Do-hyun 3-1 in the final at Korea University Hwajeong Gymnasium in Seoul.
In the grand final for teams, SANDBOX Gaming beat out Hanwha Life Esports with a 2-0 score line.
The Kartrider League, launched in May 2005, is the country¡¯s oldest e-sports league held the most 27 times in 14 years.
For this year¡¯s tournament, Nexon doubled the size of championship matches with 3,000 tickets available, and all of them sold out fast in just one hour since the opening.
The online live stream of 2019 Kartrider League Season 2 was watched by more than 40,000 viewers.
Meanwhile, Nexon in its surprise announcement earlier said it would not join this year¡¯s Game Show & Trade, All-Round (G-Star), an annual trade show for the computer and video game industry organized by the Korea Trade Promotion Agency, running on Nov. 14-17 at Bexco in Busan to more focus on gaming service and development.
