À̹ÌÁö È®´ë K-pop sensation BTS kept up its record-breaking streak this year, landing the Guinness World Record for the fastest time to reach one million followers on the video-sharing platform TikTok.
The Guinness World Records announced Wednesday that BTS hit the one-million mark in just 3 hours and 31 minutes after joining TikTok on Sept. 25. The number of followers reached two million within 13 hours and three million in 59 hours, with their debut post gaining more than four million likes.
That¡¯s not all for the seven-member boyband. The music video for ¡°Boy With Luv,¡± the group¡¯s collab with American pop star Halsey released in April, grabbed the title as the ¡°most-viewed YouTube video,¡± ¡°most-viewed YouTube music video¡± and ¡°most-viewed YouTube music video by a K-pop group¡± in 24 hours, drawing 76 million views.
À̹ÌÁö È®´ë In June, their album ¡°Map of the Soul: Persona¡± also set the record for the best-selling album in Korean history at 3.39 million.
Their incredibly devoted fanbase known as ARMY also helped contribute a new record for the ¡°most used hashtag on Twitter in 24 hours¡± at the online Soompi Awards, tweeting #TwitterBestFandom 60,055,339 times.
BTS is set to perform at the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour at Inglewood, California on Dec. 6, joining a star-studded lineup that includes Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Jonas Brothers and Sam Smith.
