À̹ÌÁö È®´ë GS Retail running convenient and grocery store chain added 7,561 jobs over the last five years to rank as the most eager employer in hiring among Korea¡¯s top 100 companies.
According to data released by local job portal provider Jobkorea on Monday, permanent workers of GS Retail totaled 11,934 in 2017, more than doubled from 4,373 in 2013. It was the largest increase among the country¡¯s top 100 companies.
The payroll jumped after the company upgraded the status of agency workers of Watsons Korea after it localized the drug store Watsons joint venture with Hong Kong-based A.S. Watsons Group into fully-owned Lalavla last year.

Hyundai Motor added second-largest jobs of 5,491, followed by Samsung C&T with 4,360 jobs, LG Chem with 4,222 jobs, Samsung Electronics with 3,990 jobs, and LG Innotek with 3,055 jobs.
By percentage, GS Retail also expanded the largest 172.9 percent, outpacing Samsung C&T¡¯s 86.1 percent, Naver¡¯s 75.1 percent, Kakao¡¯s 65.6 percent, Meritz Securities¡¯ 61.6 percent, and Hyundai Department Store¡¯s 53.1 percent.
Total regular workers at large companies reached 760,102 in 2017, gaining 16,927 or 2.3 percent from five years ago.
