Maeil Business Newspaper, South Korea¡¯s leading daily business newspaper, has launched environmental, social and governance (ESG) platform this month to establish standards on social responsibility.

The online ESG exclusive platform offers members of Maekyung ESG Club—a knowledge network created by Maeil Business Newpaper to promote ESG strategies— various ESG contents, including the status of corporate ESG management, global ESG regulatory developments, government ESG policies, and interviews with ESG experts.

The platform will also upload corporate press releases on a real-time basis in both Korean and English in collaboration with English news platform Pulse, to become a channel to pitch Korea¡¯s ESG activities and developments to the world.

In recognition of the rising importance of risk management in ESG, Maeil Business Newspaper has also joined hands with Who¡¯s Good, Korea¡¯s ESG data provider, to launch ESG risk alerting service called ESG Alert.

ESG Alert sends out emails to Maekyung ESG Club members twice a day, helping them to monitor the status of their exposure to ESG risks. Who¡¯s Good, an AI-based data provider, collects and analyzes over 10,000 pieces of news on ESG-related accidents daily and rates the level of ESG risk of each member using a five-level scoring scale.

Maeil Business Newspaper will also deliver ¡®ESG Risk Report¡¯ twice a year to keep its members informed.
