Near-10,000 viewers from all over the world tuned into the first-day sessions of the 21st World Knowledge Forum, an international debate dedicated to the theme of challenges from pandemic and consequential epic changes.

Viewers instantly stretched to 2,000 during opening discussions on Wednesday with former UK Prime Minister Theresa May and Alphabet Chairman John L. Hennessy held live from Seoul, temporarily disrupting the webinar platform for registered guests due to a spike in traffic.

The afternoon session on ¡°How Science, AI, and Quantum Entanglement Have and Could Change Content¡± with Lynda Obst, producer of the film ¡°Interstellar,¡± drew as many as 5,100 watchers on Twitter despite the complexity of the scientific theme.

WKF experimented in a rare live-feed in English from tech and 5G-powered Seoul has set a new standard in virtual conferencing.

The second day will be devoted to macroeconomic and corporate challenges in the post-coronavirus environment with panelists from the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and the consulting firm McKinsey & Company.
