COVID-19 safety kits containing diagnostic kits and face masks made by Korean brands were delivered to Brooklyn, New York under a Seoul city project to promote small local businesses.

Chang Yong-seung, chief executive of Seoul Business Agency (SBA), a Seoul government-run institution supporting small- and medium-sized enterprises, attended the delivery ceremony held at the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday.

Chang was joined by Eric Adams, Borough President of Brooklyn, who expressed his gratitude to the Seoul government.

SBA had made the delivery in June, sending 10,000 ¡°Seoul Made¡± kits containing diagnostic kits, face masks, hand sanitizers as well as free trial passes for Korean games and webtoons.

Seoul Made is an umbrella brand of small local businesses created to raise brand awareness in global markets.

¡°By providing Korea-made COVID-19 kits to Americans, we want to raise our national awareness and provide a foothold for Korean startups wanting to tap the U.S. market,¡± said Chang.
