Volvo Cars Korea, GM Korea, Jaguar-Land Rover Korea, Audi-Volkswagen Korea and four other foreign car brands are ordered to recall 32 models, amounting to 39,760 vehicles, due to faulty components and conditions, according to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport on Friday.

The problems include software errors in the autonomous emergency braking system in Volvo’s 13,846 vehicles, including XC60, the faulty tire pressure monitoring system in 9,233 Chevrolet Bolt electric vehicles imported by GM Korea, and 8,642 vehicles from two Jaguar-Land Rover models including Discovery Sports 2.0D that failed to meet safety standards in their emergency braking signal device.

The Golf 1.6 TDI BMT and four other Audi-Volkswagen brands had a faulty transmission part, while Honda’s Odyssey had a possibility of fire due to the wiring in the electric socket.

Porsche Korea’s 1,276 Macan vehicles had a possibility of fire due to overweighting in the rear seat as the fuel pump cover can press the upper part of the fuel pump to create a fine crack in the connecting pipe inlet.

The Citroen C3 Aircross 1.5 Blue HDi and nine other models, amounting to 700 vehicles, imported by Hanbul Motors, had a coolant hose vulnerable to damage, which can cause the engine to overheat.

BMW Korea’s X6 xDrive30d and two other models had a defect in the fixing of the spoiler in the rear part, while the M6 Gran Coupe had a defect in the fixing nut in the auxiliary braking lamp.
