SK Group Chairman Chey Taewon and Samsung Electronics Chairman Kwon Oh-hyun are among the Korean business leaders who will participate in the upcoming BOAO Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2019 according to a select delegates list disclosed by the forum secretariat office on Friday.

The list features 129 influential figures from international politics, industry, academia and media. They include Liu Kun, China`s Finance Minister, Yasuo Fukuda, former Japanese Prime Minister, and Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, former President of the Philippines.

From Korea, SK Group Chairman Chey, Samsung Electronics Chairman Kwon and SK Group Vice Chairman Chey Jae-won are on the list of business leaders again after their presence last year.

Ban Ki-moon, former U.N. Secretary General, who was named as Boao Forum Chairman last year, will join the guest list this year. Korean Prime Minister Lee Nak-yon is mulling attending the forum as his first overseas visit this year.

Samsung Electronics’ Vice Chairman Jay Y. Lee, who had served as the forum`s board member until last April, is off the list but he is reportedly likely to drop by as part of his wider regional business trip. Hyundai Motor Group’s Vice Chairman Chung Eui-sun, who joined the forum last year, is yet to confirm his attendance. The registration for participants closes on Mar. 5.

This year’s BOAO Forum for Asia will take place from Mar. 26 under the theme of Shared Future, Connected Action, Common Development.
