[MBN Y FORUM 2018] Korean heroes to speak with the young on latest challenges

Foreign minister Kang Kyung-wha and chiefs from ICT household names like Kakao and Netmarble are among this year¡¯s ¡°Champions¡± invited to discuss various themes on social, cultural, economic, and global trends at the annual MBN Y Forum 2018.

Under the theme of ¡°Be a New Champion,¡± the forum will take place on February 28, 2018, at Jangchung, central Seoul.

The event highlight is the Hero Show featuring 12 mentors chosen through an online vote by hundreds of thousands of young people mostly in their 20s and 30s.

This annual award honors active figures of the past year in four categories - global, economy, culture and arts, and sports.

The 2018¡¯s choices were Kang Kyung-wha, Foreign Minister of South Korea, and Cha Bum-kun, the legendary soccer player and coach, in the global and public Sector, Rim Ji-hoon, Kakao CEO, and Bang Jun-hyuk, Netmarble Games Chairman, from the economic front.

Baseball slugger Lee Seung-yuop, former basketball player Seo Jang-hoon, professional climber Kim Ja-in, and archer Chang Hye-jin were picks from the sports category. Actor Ha Jung-Woo, actress Lee Yuri, and Lee Hanee represent the entertainment section.

The guests will converse freely with the audience in a TED-like format.

The forum also brings to the stage broadcasters, futurists, and scholars for inspirational debates on diverse topics.
