To show off its IT prowess, South Korea raised the bar in digital signage display by installing a building-size 8K resolution at the heart of the country¡¯s main gateway, Incheon International Airport¡¯s Terminal 1.

The LED tower, which is 27 meters in height, 10m in length and 3.5m in width, was plugged in last Saturday to exhibit artworks of globally renowned media artists and provide information such as weather and time of many countries and cities in truly lofty manner.

The media tower currently displays Beautiful World, an artwork by German media artist Roman de Giuli, and Let¡¯s Go Darly, a video of the airport¡¯s dog mascot Darly¡¯s world tour, on the first day of operation.

The airport that opened its second terminal in January this year has been picked as the world¡¯s best airport for 12 straight years. With an aim to transform itself into a smart airport, it is preparing to add more services based on artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT) and biometric recognition.
