South Korea’s biggest annual auto show will kick off early June this year in Busan with about 200 cars of local and foreign brands to be presented.

According to the Busan International Motor Show 2018 organizer, the country’s annual auto exhibition will be held at the Busan Exhibition & Convention Center (Bexco) in Busan from June 7 to 17.

Under the slogan of “Beyond Innovation, Into the Future”, 19 automakers at home and abroad will showcase around 200 vehicles and hold various events at the show, according to the organizing committee.

On the list are Korea’s Hyundai Motor, Kia Motors, GM Korea, Renault Samsung Motors and Edison Motors. Jaguar, Land Rover, Lexus, Audi, BMW, MINI,, Nissan, Toyota, Infiniti and Mercedes-Benz also visit Busan to demonstrate their latest vehicles.

For this year’s show, automakers are planning to unveil 10 new cars for the first time in Asia, but the world premiere events are not planned. The exact lineup will be disclosed around the middle of May, the organizing committee said. The ratio of green cars at the show this year would almost double to 20 percent in the total display list from last year, the committee added.

This year’s Busan International Motor Show is organized by Busan Metropolitan City and managed by BEXCO, Korea Automobile Manufacturers Association and Korea Automobile Import & Distributors Association. The country’s biggest auto show is held annually in Seoul and Busan in turn. Last year, the auto show was held in Seoul.
