Samsung Electronics Co. on Thursday unveiled its latest Galaxy S smartphones, which come with improved camera performance and environmentally-friendly features.

Samsung Electronics¡¯ flagship Galaxy S series come in three models - S23 Ultra, S23+, and S23. The new lineup boasts an advanced camera system and the company¡¯s sustainability commitment with 12 components made using recycled materials compared with six in the predecessor model Galaxy S22 Ultra.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra is the first-ever flagship to use recycled materials for both internal and external components, including aluminum, glass, and plastics sourced from discarded fishing nets and PET bottles.

All of the Galaxy S23 device also comes in a redesigned packaging box made with 100 percent recycled paper.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra also features a new 200 megapixel Adaptive Pixel sensor. The sensor allows users to capture precise shots day and night through an automatic change in the pixel mode depending on light settings. It also combines 16 out of 200 million pixels into one larger pixel for brighter shots in low-light situations. In bright settings, the sensor is designed to keep the original mode of 200 mega-pixels.

The Galaxy S23 models can produce stable shots or videos with their doubled optical image stabilizer, and recording videos become more detailed and cinematic with enhanced 8K video at 30 frames per second.

Samsung Electronics added 50 MP to the rear cameras of the Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23. The manufacturer said that the S23 lineup boasts 12MP cameras with dual pixel for better selfies.

The object-based AI engine analyzes each detail in the frame, even down to minute facial features, such as hair, eyes, and skin, to carefully reflect a person¡¯s dynamic characteristics.

Every model in the S23 lineup addresses visual noise that ruins low-light images with a new AI-powered image signal processing (ISP) algorithm that enhances object details.

¡°The value of impactful technology is measured, not just by what it enables for people today, but also how it contributes to a better future,¡± said Roh Tae-moon, president and head of Samsung¡¯s Mobile eXperience (MX) division. ¡°The entire Galaxy S23 series is the new standard-bearer of trustworthy premium smartphone experiences. We¡¯re on a mission to redefine peak performance by bringing together powerful, lasting innovations and sustainability.¡±
