Ably, South Korea`s major fashion platform, posted record high 700 billion won ($583 million) in gross merchandise volume (GMV) last year thanks to brisk sales of beauty products, the company announced on Tuesday.
The fashion platform said GMV of its beauty category surged 4,300 percent in nine months after its launch in March last year, helping buoy its total annual sales. The category covers basic cosmetics and makeup, hair, body, and fragrance lines.
The individual shops in Ably amounted to 25,000, growing two times from the previous year. Ably`s fast delivery service, Shark Departure, also contributed to its GMV growth, rising 70 percent from its launch last December, according to the company.
