À̹ÌÁö È®´ë Dunamu, the operator of South Korea¡¯s largest cryptocurrency exchange Upbit, has unveiled metaverse platform 2ndblock on Tuesday to indulge not just crypto traders but also back broader virtual activities of online grouping, lecturing as well as performance.
The company said 2ndblock is the country¡¯s first metaverse platform that strengthens video chatting feature to maximize users¡¯ immersive experience. It also supports the largest simultaneous access of 1,000 or more, making it possible to host not only large-scale business conferences and exhibitions but also concerts.
Dunamu has begun an open beta service for 2ndblock on Tuesday and plans to launch an official service in the first half of 2022. Unlike other metaverse platforms which focus on communication in the virtual world, 2ndblock differentiates itself by connecting the virtual and real world through unrestricted movements in their avatars who can immediately start a conversation when they are near others.
It also has a loudspeaker feature to support a group conversation or even a concert.
The company said that it has used 2D interface to make it easy for users to explore the virtual world on the platform.
It will continue to upgrade 2ndblock to improve user experience and contribute to expanding the metaverse ecosystem. A mobile app is coming out soon and it will allow users to create their own contents and trade them with non-fungible tokens (NFTs). The company has recently released its NFT beta service Upbit NFT.
