À̹ÌÁö È®´ë Two young couple from family-run Korean corporate empires has promised future together. The newly-weds to be are Suh Min-jung, the eldest daughter of Amorepacific Group chairman, and Hong Jung-hwan, the eldest son of Bokwang Investment Corp. chairman Hong Seok-joon, kin to the Samsung owner family by marriage.
The engagement ceremony will be held in Shilla Hotel in Seoul with a small number of close family members expected to participate in. Hong Ra-hee, wife of Samsung Group chairman Lee Kun-hee, is expected to join as she is an older sister of Hong Seok-joon. There is also a chance of Samsung Electronics vice chairman Jay Y. Lee and Hotel Shilla CEO Lee Boo-jin joining the party as they are cousins of Hong Jung-hwan.
Born in 1991, Suh joined Amorepacific in early 2017 and left the firm in the same year to take an MBA course at China¡¯s CKGSB. She returned to Amorepacific in 2019.
Hong was born in 1985. Bokwang Investment made investment in Way Wearable, a skin care solution and device making startup that was also given investment from Amorepacific in 2014.
