À̹ÌÁö È®´ë Genesis G70, the second SUV of Hyundai Motor¡¯s luxury marque, sports smart features allowing drive-thru payment on touchscreen and safety recognition of backseat passengers through biometric recognitions when it arrives at home market next month.
Drivers will be able to use the in-car payment system Genesis CarPay through fingerprint clearance on touchscreen without having to enter the six-digit password, currently available at cars with pay system. The biometric recognition helps complete the payment much simpler and faster.
This is the first time the fingerprint scanner is connected to the in-car payment system.
Hyundai Santa Fe China version tailored to the need of Chinese drivers features a fingerprint detection system, but it facilitates simpler tasks like opening the door and starting the car.
Only a few lineups of Hyundai Motor and Kia Motors now are fitted with the in-car payment system.
Genesis G70¡¯s fingerprint recognition will also ensure safe valet service with its Valet Mode that will hide the personal information like home address from the infotainment display in case when someone others have to drive the car.
Starting the car and using the driver¡¯s personal preset for seats, head-up display, navigation software and audio setting will also be available with fingerprints.
Another upgrade using the biometric recognition technology is the rear-seat reminder system, notifying drivers of the existence of passengers left behind the rear seats with emergency lights, alarms and mobile text messages. A radar sensor mounted in the ceiling can even detect breath of sleeping infants, children and dogs in the rear seats and further the cargo area.
