Sales of Samsung Electronics¡¯ latest flagship Galaxy Note 10 surpassed 1 million units in Korea as of Sept. 16 in just 25 days from its launch on Aug. 16, the fastest to achieve the milestone.

The 10th anniversary phone beat the previous record of 37 days held by the Galaxy S8 released in 2017. Other preceding models were no match for the newest phablet: the Galaxy S2 (40 days), the Galaxy S10 (47 days), the Galaxy Note 8 (49 days) and the Galaxy Note 9 (53 days).

The company said the Galaxy Note 10 has gained popularity due to its unique design difference from its predecessor with the release of two versions at a time. The total pre-booking sales of the Galaxy Note 10 reached 1.3 million units, which are more than double those of its predecessor.

The sales proportion of the Galaxy Note 10 and the Galaxy Note 10 Plus was 37 percent and 63 percent, respectively. The Galaxy Note 10 with a 6.3-inch panel attracted many young and female consumers, raising the portion of female users to 40 percent, up about 10 percent compared to its predecessor, and the portion of consumers in their 20s by up 5 percent to about 20 percent.
