Samsung Electronics¡¯ 10th-year anniversary versions of Galaxy Note roll out Friday initially in 70 countries including Korea, the U.S., Canada, the U.K., France, Russia, Singapore, Thailand, India, and Australia.

The pen-enabled phablet will be available in 130 countries by early September, the Korean tech giant said Thursday.

The 10th-year anniversary version gives two size options for the first time as the premium Galaxy Note series and features much advanced technologies for its S Pen stylus and bezels. The new stylus allows its users to control camera, music and gallery with simple gestures, and the bezels were reduced further for maximum screen size.

Since the unpacked event early this month in the U.S., Samsung Electronics has held various launch events in India, Chile and Australia, as well as five major cities of Korea. The company pins high hope on the newest model after it drew the largest pre-orders for 1.3 million units among all Galaxy phones.

Of all pre-orders, an estimated 221,000 units were sold on the first presale day of Tuesday, 16 percent larger than 191,000 units recorded by its predecessor Galaxy Note 9.

Market experts, however, raise doubts about whether pre-orders could lead to actual purchases due to hefty price tags. Wireless carriers earlier announced to give lower-than-expected official subsidies on the new phones.
