Regarding 5G, they also agreed to join forces in multiple dimensions to ensure the industry’s best 5G services through joint development and commercialization in network technology, innovative terminals and software and smart solutions.

They will also work together on developing core technologies for 6G network and explore new business opportunities.

Separately last week, SK Telecom partnered up with telecom equipment vendors Nokia and Ericsson for collaboration on 6G wireless network research and development. Samsung Electronics also in a move to get itself ready for the next-generation wireless technology launched an R&D team dedicated to developing 6G network solutions and studying 6G network standards earlier this month.
