À̹ÌÁö È®´ë Samsung SDS Co. is actively expanding its client base beyond its parent Samsung Group with next-generation enterprise resource planning (ERP) system amid growing demand for upgraded business data management solution.
The company said Thursday that it has been working with a number of Korean companies to upgrade their ERP system with a new one fitted with latest technology such as artificial intelligence and big data analysis. ERP is a software system that allows an organization to collect, store, manage, and interpret data from business activities.
Samsung SDS recently completed the first phase of setting up ¡°Global One ERP System¡± for Hyundai Construction Equipment Co.¡¯s headquarters and overseas subsidiaries. The new ERP system is designed to help the construction equipment maker improve business forecasting. The project is scheduled to end by June this year.
Its outside clients for next-gen ERP system include industrial dye supplier Kyung-in Synthetic Corp. and Hyundai Electric & Energy Systems Co. Samsung SDS said it successfully ended setting up new ERP system for Kyung-in last year. The project with Hyundai is still under progress.
The needs for next-generation ERP system backed by latest data analysis technologies has been growing fast due to an exponential increase in data, said Samsung SDS.
Samsung SDS has mostly been in-house software computing system provider for Samsung units since 1995.
With over 25 years of experience in ERP business and 1,300 specialists, the company will make its utmost efforts to help clients bolster their business competitiveness, said Kim Young-joo, head of ERP business team at Samsung SDS.
