Hanwha Hotels & Resorts Co., hotel and resort operating unit of South Korean conglomerate Hanwha Group, is developing a hotel-like residential complex that offers an integrated service for both long-time residents and visitors in Korea, the company said Monday.

It aims to build a residential complex, where residents with a membership can enjoy various premium benefits like hotel-like convenient services and financial consulting as well as digital healthcare facilities and medical check-ups in partnership with university hospitals.

Those who buy a residence and entrust its operation to the company for investment purpose will also be able to garner some returns on its property, it added.

The first complex dubbed The Island will open in Yeosu, South Jeolla Province, by the first half of 2020 with offices, apartments, a hotel and commercial facilities. Hanwha Hotels & Resorts also plans to add more in 10 cities across the country by 2025.
