LG Electronics Inc. has opened its first overseas showroom for the premium built-in appliance brand Signature Kitchen Suite in the U.S., buoyed by a 57 percent jump in sales in the world¡¯s largest white goods market.

The South Korean electronics giant said Friday (local time) that its first overseas showroom for the luxury kitchen appliance brand opened in Napa Valley, California, to provide consumers an opportunity to have hands-on experience of its premium home appliances.

Napa Valley, close to Silicon Valley, is one of the world¡¯s great destinations for wine and food lovers, which is why the company opened its premium kitchen appliances showroom there, the company said.

Visitors to the showroom named ¡°Experience and Design Center¡± will be able to experience all the premium appliances not only for kitchen but also for other living space designed by LG Electronics, said an official at the company.

Following the opening of the U.S. showroom targeting the built-in appliance market, which is considered the business-to-business (B2B) market, the company expects to see stable growth in its sales in the world¡¯s largest built-in appliance market valued at about 11 trillion won ($9.8 billion), of which 3 to 4 trillion won came from premium products.

LG Electronics saw a 57 percent on-year gain in revenue last year from the Signature Kitchen Suite brand in the U.S.
