South Korea¡¯s Hyundai Motor premiered the new 2020 Venue SUV at the New York International Auto Show on Wednesday (local time), and unveiled its new Sonata sedan in the same exhibition for the first time in North America.

The new SUV was differentiated from previous models in the carmaker¡¯s high-rider lineup with a non-location model name designed to signify a place for special activities or activities or other meanings which can be interpreted in various ways, including the interior space of the vehicle as an entry SUV.

The Venue is an ambitious product of Hyundai Motor aiming at millennials who are considering buying their first car. Hyundai¡¯s focus is on sophisticated design, best-in-class driving safety, and spacious interior that can appeal to these customers.

The Venue sports turn lamps on the front and splits slimline daylight running lights that sit below the leading edge of the bonnet. A refined version of the marque¡¯s trademark cascading grille highlights the car¡¯s stylish image.

Bold side character lines and plastic cladding around the wheel arches give it a bit more of a sporty image. The Venue also features upper-level safety technologies that include forward collision-avoidance assist, lane keeping, driver attention warning and more.

The Hyundai Venue is expected it to go on sale later in 2019.
