LG Electronics Inc. has miniaturized its high-end household care appliances by releasing air purifier series in portable version.

The tech giant said Wednesday the Korea Air Cleaning Association has endorsed air cleaning license for its new portable air purifier PuriCare Mini, paving the way for its commercial release.

The new product is fitted with a portable PM 1.0 sensor that can detect ultrafine particles, smaller than 1 micrometers in diameter, and its dual-inverter motor is capable of sustaining 5,000 rpm per minute in a turbo mode.

It also is built to be quite, light-weight and efficient and can be placed anywhere users want to install – in vehicles, study rooms and offices. The LED indicator on top of it changes its color to show the air quality.

Users can charge the product with a USB-C cable and use it up to eight hours on a single charge.

The new portable air purifier will be available in two color options – white and black – and offered at 309,000 won ($273.38).
