SK Networks teams up with TÜV Rheinland to take on EV maintenance market

South Korea¡¯s SK Networks has joined hands with a global testing and certification service company to better respond to the fast-growing market of electric vehicles.

SK Networks announced on Tuesday its car maintenance brand Speedmate signed a memorandum of understanding with TÜV Rheinland, a Germany-based global leader in independent testing, inspection and certification services, on bilateral cooperation in the EV market.

Speedmate provides total car life services including car maintenance, distribution of auto parts, emergency roadside assistance service, and car rental.

TÜV Rheinland is a global organization that tests and certifies systems and products from automotive and other various industries, and it has more than 8,000 customers in Korea.

Under the MOU, the two companies will exchange information on high voltage safety education and maintenance work related to electric vehicles and the management of battery and charging facilities.
