À̹ÌÁö È®´ë G90, the flagship sedan of Hyundai Motor¡¯s luxury brand Genesis, is off to a smooth sailing with pre-orders topping 2,700 on the first day.
Hyundai Motor said Tuesday that it booked total 2,774 pre-orders for its new premium sedan G90 on the first day of Monday, about 1.7 times higher than the average monthly sales of all luxury sedans of domestic brands in Korea from January to October.
The delivery starts on Nov. 27, according to the company.
The G90 sedan boasts improved design, convenience, safety and driving performance as a face-lifted model of the EQ900, its predecessor Equus sedan. The new name also has been well received among customers, the company added.
Hyundai Motor pins high hope on the G90 model as it brought such positive response from customers with the teaser image giving only a glimpse of its headlights. It also expects G90 could appeal to the taste of corporate buyers and drive the sales rise.
Before starting pre-orders, Hyundai Motor opened private showrooms for the premium vehicle in Seoul, Incheon, Daegu and Busan. Anyone who booked an entry can experience the latest model at the showrooms prior to the official launch on Nov. 27.
