Hanwha Q Cells Co., manufacturer of solar cells and modules under South Korea¡¯s Hanwha Group, said on Tuesday that it will showcase its newest products and solutions at North America¡¯s largest solar power conference kicking off next week to sustain its presence in the region despite import restriction from the U.S. administration.
Hanwha Q Cells will be one of the 650 companies participating in Solar Power International 2018, one of world¡¯s four largest solar power events taking place in Anaheim, California, the United States, from September 25 to 27, local time.
The U.S. remains a major market for photovoltaic business even with safeguard tariffs on imports to protect its industry as demand is high for premium products dedicated to residential and commercial use, the company said.
Hanwha Q Cells will display its flagship Q.PEAK DUO module series that are sold in the U.S. It will also introduce solutions that reflect newest technologies such as next-generation Q.PEAK DUO series with 5 percent improved output as well as Q.PLUS DUO that applies polycrystalline Q.ANTUM half cell technology and provides 370 watt output.
The company will also share technologies that are under development such as Q.HOME+, a residential-use energy total solution that combines bifacial modules and energy production, storage, and management functions to provide more power in limited space.
Hanwha Q Cells is merging with its affiliate Hanwha Advanced Materials Corp. to enhance management efficiency and bring synergy in research and development on solar power.
