Seoul-based system integration company Samsung SDS has achieved the Amazon Web Services (AWS) security competency status.

The company said on Wednesday the certification recognizes its demonstration of technical expertise and proven success in providing customers added security for their AWS cloud deployments.

Attaining the certification requires AWS partners to undergo a rigorous selection process involving customer references and an independent audit.

“Security is another essential element to the fast-growing cloud service and attaining the AWS security competency means we are able to provide more seamless and optimized cloud security services,” said a Samsung SDS official.

Meanwhile, Samsung SDS will hold the third Cyber Security Conference at its Jamsil Campus in Seoul on Thursday to share new technology trends and insights on cloud security.
