South Korea’s leading automaker Hyundai Motor Co. announced Friday that it has hired Cornelia Schneider, who was in charge of leading operations of Volkswagen Group Forum, the German carmaker’s brand experience zone, to strengthen its space marketing business.
Schneider, who is scheduled to join the country’s auto giant on Monday, will command the company’s brand experience center Hyundai Motor Studio, space marketing strategies and global exhibitions. She brings 20 years-plus career in brand marketing to enhance the Korean automaker’s communications with customers, the company said.
She worked for Sony and Time Warner’s German branches and joined Volkswagen in 2003 to spearhead the management of Volkswagen Group Forum located in Berlin. It has been one of the representative brand exhibition centers in Europe by showcasing not only vehicles but also arts related to future technology.
Hyundai Motor that has been ramping up its marketing efforts runs several Hyundai Motor Studios both at home and abroad after opening its first exhibition center in Seoul in 2014.
