South Korea¡¯s largest full-service carrier Korean Air Lines Co. said on Tuesday that its in-house volunteer group was engaged in a wide range of volunteer works in Cambodia.

According to Korean Air, some 20 members of its in-house volunteer team Love Sharing Community offered various volunteer services to local residents in Tram Khnar in the outskirts of Phnom Penh from June 6 to 11. Tram Khnar is an impoverished region in the Southeast Asian country with poor education and welfare benefits.

Korean Air¡¯s volunteer group members installed fans and light emitting diode lighting at Hope Zion International School and introduced Korean culture such as food and games to local residents. They also donated basic medicine and medical supplies including nutritional supplements, cold medicine, and skin ointments.

Love Sharing Community - formed in 2004 - is one of Korean Air¡¯s 25 in-house volunteer groups consisting of employees at the carrier¡¯s technology center in Busan. The community visits remote areas at home and abroad every year and provides volunteer work. Other volunteer groups also provide various services to the socially underprivileged by visiting orphanages and care centers.
