Hyundai Mobis Co., the auto parts unit of South Korea¡¯s Hyundai Motor Group, will unveil its roadmap for technology development on autonomous driving, green cars and infotainment at CES 2018 trade show to be held in Las Vegas in January next year, the company said Thursday.

The 445-square-meter exhibition booth for Hyundai Mobis will be installed with a large-sized screen showcasing the company¡¯s new technology for autonomous driving, biometric authentication, intelligent digital assistant and vehicle-to-grid (V2G). This is the third year for Hyundai¡¯s auto parts maker to attend the world¡¯s largest consumer technology trade show since its first debut in 2016.

Visitors to the Hyundai Mobis booth at the show will be watching a video showing that a holographic virtual assistant greets a family when they get into the car and a camera identifies the driver and sensors equipped in the driver¡¯s seat check the driver¡¯s physical conditions including heart rate and respiration state. In the video, the car also runs on a level 4 autonomous driving mode that doesn¡¯t require human intervention. Visitors can experience Hyundai Mobis technology through a virtual and augmented reality simulation at a separate experience zone.

An official from Hyundai Mobis said that the company aims to offer new experiences on future driving technologies it is developing. ¡°We will aggressively promote our new and differentiated technologies at the show to take the lead in the future market,¡± he added.

The company will also have a private booth on the second floor to exhibit products related to self-driving and future car technology that will be commercialized within the next three years.
