Digital humans are beginning to show off talents in professional fields in South Korea.

Lotte Home Shopping has been airing TV shopping programs hosted by virtual hosts and models that debuted in December last year. The Korean home shopping channel operator has created non-fungible token of “Lucy,” its artificial intelligence-powered virtual host.

Earlier this year, tech giant Samsung Electronics unveiled a blueprint on AI Avatar, which has on-device conversation recognition and internet-based home control functions to serve as a virtual, personal assistant.

Entertainment field is another rising stage for digital humans.
