South Korea’s leading LED maker Seoul Semiconductor Co. said Thursday that it filed a lawsuit against Ace Hardware which distributes LED filament light bulbs of the U.S. biggest light company Feit Electric for patent infringements on Tuesday.

Seoul Semiconductor argues that Feit has violated the company’s 16 LED light patents which it developed by spending more than 1 trillion won ($845.5 million).

The company has already won multiple patent infringement lawsuits in Europe and North America. It says Ace Hardware has still been selling more than 600 Feit products despite the courts’ sales ban orders on the products.

“Global manufacturers and distributers are still producing and selling products produced by violating intellectual property rights for short-term profits while claiming to support ESG management and social contribution,” said Seoul Semiconductor CEO Hong Myeong-ki.
