Celltrion has launched a rapid testing kit for SARS-CoV-2 in the U.S., which was jointly developed with its Korean IVD partner, adding a more accessible and affordable diagnostic option to the market plagued by the virus that has so far infected over 4.6 million people.

The new test kit SAMPINUTE has high sensitivity based on Celltrion’s antigen-antibody technology, with time to results within 10 minutes.

Compared with other RT-PCR kits in the market, SAMPINUTE has a sensitivity of over 95 percent, taking the positivity detecting power to the highest level.

Celltrion shares finished Thursday 2.15 percent higher at 308,500 won ($260.98).
