Sindoh, a South Korean office solution provider, has developed a new stereolithography 3D printer, the biggest of its kind, which uses photocurable resin, making a stride into the country¡¯s burgeoning industrial 3D printer market.

The company said on Monday it will also mass produce 3D printers that use metal powder within three years to transform itself into a top 3D printer manufacture with a full lineup in Korea.

Stereolithography known as stereolithography apparatus (SLA) is a form of 3D printing technology to make up the body of a three-dimensional solid in a layer by layer fashion using chemical resin to link together to form polymers in photochemical processes. SLA can be used to create precision industrial prototypes in many applications.

The company launched two SLA Sindoh A1 Series 3D printers and one FFF 3DWOX 7X 3D printer.

FFF, or fused filament fabrication, is the most common 3D printing technology.

The new A1 Series supports varieties of resin, making it widely applied to machinery, automobile, medical and accessory industries. The maximum dimension of a 3D printable object is 200§®x200§®x180§®, the biggest output generated with desktop SLA 3D printers available in the market.

Sindoh also plans to speed up developing a selective laser melting (SLM) 3D printer, which is more challenging technically. SLM designed to use a high power-density laser to melt and fuse metallic powders together has almost unlimited applications.
