LG Electronics Thursday will add kitchen helper in its line of robotics under a development order from food chain operator CJ Foodville.
Pilot robots will be deployed to CJ Foodville`s selected restaurants later this year to study what should be improved further.
LG Electronics said human staff will be able to better tend to the needs of customers if dish-washing and other routine and simple kitchen tasks are left to robots.
LG Electronics has been active on robotics, developing different types of self-learning machines that can navigate, clean up, and conduct chores at homes, offices and plants under the brand of CLOi, as well as wearable robots that support human body movements.
