Maekyung Media Group has agreed to extend its partnership agreement with the Consumer Electronics Association (CTA) for another year to be part of Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the world`s largest IT trade show, as media partner.
The Korean media company has partnered with the exhibition organizer since 2017 to provide its readers with fast-changing IT trends and up-to-date information through its first-hand coverage of innovations not only at CES in Las Vegas but also at CES Asia in Shanghai.
CES 2019 will take place from January 8 to 11 next year, with over 4,500 companies from 155 countries and 180,000 potential visitors, which would be the largest turnout in history.
Under the partnership, Maekyung Media Group will participate in CES 2019 as an official media partner to cover and deliver hot innovation topics through print, broadcast, online and mobile channels. The media group will also offer various sideline events to share business insights of the show.
One is MK CES2019 Innovation Observation Program (due on Jan. 6-13), which is designed to facilitate a group tour to innovative companies in Silicon Valley.
2019 CES is expected to provide a glance of ‘Big Changes’ after 2020 to be marked by 5G, artificial intelligence and smart city technologies. South Korea`s Samsung Electronics, Hyundai Motor, and LG Electronics are among those exhibitors to debut their innovative products and services to respond to a rapidly changing future. A CES keynote speech will be delivered by Verizon CEO Verizon Hans Vestberg.
